The Setting

The Bield sits on the hillside overlooking Loch Sunart. The setting is rugged and beautiful, with a magnificent view of the Loch from the veranda. The Bield is about 400 yards up the quiet road to Longrigg, which is a remote croft in the hills. Longrigg Road branches from the main, but single track, road between Strontian and Salen, about 1 mile west of Strontian.

The area is ideal for those who enjoy walking, fishing, sailing, natural history or just resting and enjoying the magnificent scenery.
